We’re set to go back in time on Sunday, as we celebrate Barnsley legends of the past with Retro Day 2019!
The Reds welcome Brentford to Oakwell on 29 September in front of the Sky Sports cameras, kicking off at 1:30pm.
In the week leading up to the fixture, we want to hear from you! Whether it’s a moment of magic from King Ronnie, a rocket from Redfearn or perhaps a bizarre moment that you’ll never forget, we want to hear it. Once submitted (and if suitable), your story will be featured either on the Barnsley FC website, or in the official match programme, BE RED, on Sunday.
On matchday itself, supporters young and old are once again encouraged to dig out their 'Retro' shirts and wear them at Oakwell. Be sure to take pictures wearing your favourite top and share them on social media, using the hashtag #RetroReds.
Also, we’ve got a number of very special guests in attendance on Sunday. If you plan on attending the fixture, be sure to be in your seats by 1:25pm as our guests will be entering the field of play alongside our current starting eleven!
So, share your favourite Barnsley FC memories, talk about your most memorable games but most importantly, back Daniel Stendel’s side on Retro Day to what will hopefully be an important three points.
