Ahead of Sunday's Sky Bet Championship fixture with Leeds, we look back on five recent Oakwell clashes...
November 4th 2006 | Reds 3-2 Leeds
The Reds were back in the second tier and Martin Devaney put them ahead against Leeds in this one with just half an hour played. Oakwell was silenced though just before the break when first Shaun Derry then Robbie Blake bagged for the Whites to put them ahead at half time.
But a terrific Michael Mcindoe hit from 25 yards out levelled the affair before a curled effort from Brian Howard found the corner to send the Ponty End wild and Leeds packing.
September 14th 2010 | Reds 5-2 Leeds
A third minute strike from Jonny Howson put the Whites ahead in this evening kick-off before the Reds took their West Yorkshire opponents to the sword.
An own goal plus efforts from Jim O'Brien, Garry O'Connor and Diego Arismendi had the Reds flying before Adam Hammill's solo strike put the gloss on the finish. A late Davide Somma header was scant consolation for the away side.
December 31st 2011 | Reds 4-1 Leeds
Despite the visitors cynically fouling Reds captain Jacob Butterfield out of the contest after just 15 minutes of the game, there was no stopping Keith Hill's side.
A stunner from Craig Davies and a wonderful Ricardo Vaz Te hat-trick meant the Reds saw out the year in style, despite a 90th minute consolation goal by Luciano Becchio.
January 12th 2013 | Reds 2-0 Leeds
With caretaker boss Dave Flitcroft in charge, the Reds defied the odds to come out on top in this one, in a match where 2-0 flattered the away side.
Both Reds goals came courtesy of Chris Dagnall - one from the spot and the other a wonderful finish to give Barnsley a priceless three points in their battle to stay up.
January 21st 2017 | Reds 3-2 Leeds
A game that will forever be remembered as the last in Reds colours for captain Conor Hourihane who bowed out in the most ideal fashion.
After Leeds went ahead through Chris Wood, Barnsley struck back quickly with a Tom Bradshaw header before Ryan Kent blasted us ahead in the second half.
Hourihane made it 3-1 with a stunning free-kick before Wood made the game look closer with a hotly-disputed penalty.
