Barnsley Football Club are set to host their first FIFA tournament on Thursday 31 October in the Rimmington’s Lounge at Oakwell.
The 20-person competition is open to all Junior Reds aged between 8 – 16 (updated 30/10) and is set to run from 1pm – 5pm, with the overall winner winning a Barnsley FC edition of FIFA 20 as well as a host of other goodies.
The tournament, which will be hosted on Xbox, is FREE ENTRY. Note that players are able to bring a parent or guardian for the duration of the event.
The format is simple. There will be four groups of five, with the top player from each group playing against each other in the knockout rounds. The winner of the knockout round will then be crowned champion.
A lunch of sandwiches and chips will be served mid-afternoon, with refreshments available to all players throughout the event.
Access will be granted via the East Stand reception, with doors opening from 12pm. Upon completion of the tournament, all players will be asked to leave via the East Stand reception.
Registration can be completed from 4pm on Friday 25th October by clicking here, but please note, this is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Upon registering, you will be issued with a ticket. Please ensure this is brought on the day.
