Gerhard Struber wants Barnsley to adopt a positive mentality ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Hull City.
The Reds have been unfortunate in recent weeks not to have added to their points tally after putting in some impressive performances, but lapses in concentration have ultimately proved costly thus far.
However, Struber believes that if his side can remain focused for the duration of the game, they will give themselves an excellent chance of claiming three points at Oakwell.
“It’s very important for us that we have a clear match plan and a good mentality to switch our result, and we hope we can do it against Hull,” said the Austrian.
“It’s my first home game here in Barnsley and I hope that the fans can support my team, and I hope we have a good atmosphere and, in the end, a good performance for 90 minutes. We’re clear about what we want and it’s a result for a happy weekend.
“We need a good plan and mindset, and in all the games we have a good chance to win if we have good concentration and focus on our task. I think that my team is good enough to win with a good performance.”
