The family of Jeffrey Wroe can confirm that the generous and heartfelt money raised by the staff, players and supporters of both Barnsley Football Club and the wider footballing community has been donated to charity.
The family have chosen to split the money between the NSPCC and Guide Dogs who were two charities that Jeff had donated to for a number of years, along with the Fire Fighters Charity, an organisation close to the heart of the Wroe’s after Jeff served as a working firefighter for so many years.
The family would like to place on record their sincerest thanks to everyone who helped them at such an emotional time, with kind messages and tributes, as well as all who donated money towards such worthwhile causes.
