Midfielder extends Oakwell stay.
Romal Palmer has signed a new contract to remain at Barnsley Football Club until the summer of 2020.
The midfielder has progressed well through the academy ranks, putting in impressive displays for the U23s team this season, before joining Darlington FC on loan to gain some first team experience.
A central midfielder with flair, power and speed, Palmer will link back up with the squad this summer and have his performances watched closely by Daniel Stendel and his coaching staff, as he looks to impress during pre-season.
After signing his new deal, Romal said: “It’s nice to have things sorted quickly and for the club to want me to stick around. I enjoyed last season when I got back from injury, as I got some good game time in the 23s and managed to do pretty well out on loan. I want to come back after the summer and impress the Gaffer, we all know he gives young players an opportunity so it is up to me to work hard for him.”
