Barnsley Football Club, in collaboration with NG Decor, helped put a smile on the face of nine-year-old George by giving his bedroom an official Reds Room Makeover.
Not only was his room transformed into an Oakwell haven, but the youngster also got to play football with Victor Adeboyejo and Sam Fielding in his back garden.
George was the lucky winner of a competition that ran during April, where supporters could nominate anyone they believed would benefit from this renovation.
Both Barnsley FC and NG Decor pride themselves on reaching out to the community and, more importantly, the fans in order to establish a strong relationship, and this is just one of a number of projects that the Club has undertaken this season.
Ahead of the launch of the Reds Room Makeover, Neil Glover, Managing Director of NG Decor, said: “Supporters are the heartbeat of our Club and I’m pleased that we are able to offer this service to a deserving fan. Just like Barnsley FC, we’re always looking to give back to our community and we’re privileged to be in such a position to do so.”
U23s captain Fielding added: “It’s always good to interact with the youngsters that are coming through, and Barnsley is a club that brings everyone together.”
