Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Louis Wardle has joined Curzon Ashton on loan until the end of the season.
The versatile youngster has featured 15 times for Martin Devaney’s U23s side this campaign, scoring once – an incredible volley in the 2-1 victory at Sheffield Wednesday which won the Club’s Goal of the Month award for November.
Curzon are currently 11th in the National League North and Wardle, who can play in defence or midfield, could be in line to make his debut for Mark Bradshaw’s team when they face Guiseley AFC at Nethermoor Park on Tuesday evening.
With eight games remaining, the Nash have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs and face promotion chasing Boston United, AFC Telford, Stockport County and Spennymoor Town before the season draws to a close at the end of April.
Everyone at Oakwell would like to wish Louis the best of luck in his loan move.
