Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Danny Greenfield has joined Chorley FC on a work experience loan until the end of the season.
The young midfielder will link up with Jamie Vermiglio at the Vanarama National League North leaders, who are four points clear at the summit with six games remaining.
Chorley came close to pulling off a giant-killing in the Emirates FA Cup back in November as they took Doncaster Rovers to a first round replay, before being eliminated by the Sky Bet League One play-off hopefuls.
Greenfield has featured 16 times for our U18s this campaign, while also making one appearance for Martin Devaney’s U23s side as well.
The 18-year-old has been part of the Oakwell academy since October 2013 and will look to gain valuable first-team experience during his time at Victory Park.
