Woodrow screamer in EFL Goal of the Year contention!

16 March 2019

Reds striker Cauley Woodrow is in the running for Goal of the Year for 2018 thanks to his stunning strike against Peterborough United.

We are pleased to announce that Cauley Woodrow’s goal against Peterborough United on 26 December 2018 has been shortlisted for the 2018 EFL Goal of the Year at this season’s EFL Awards.

After the respective Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month winners for 2018 were narrowed down to ten, the shortlist of ten will now go to a public vote to decide the final five, of which the overall winner will be voted for and revealed on the night of the EFL Awards ceremony on Sunday 7 April at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Apologies, this video is unvailable.

Picking up the ball on the left flank at Oakwell, Cauley drifted inside before curling home a spectacular effort from 25 yards out, a real Christmas Cracker on Boxing Day 2018!
