John Vaughan Leaves The Club

Goalkeeper coach leaves his position after four seasons with the Reds

13 June 2019

First team goalkeeper coach John Vaughan has left his position at Oakwell after four seasons with the club.

During his time on the coaching staff, Vaughan played key roles in winning two promotions, the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and, more importantly, helping to develop some excellent goalkeeping talent.

John joined the club as part of Lee Johnson’s backroom staff in the summer of 2015, before going on to work with three further Head Coaches, playing a key, professional role.

Everyone at Barnsley Football Club would like to thank John for his commitment and professionalism whilst at Oakwell and wish him the very best of luck with his future career.
