Barnsley U23s travel to Hemsworth Miners Welfare on Tuesday evening at the MDC Stadium.
Martin Devaney’s side have had a productive pre-season so far, picking up impressive 7-1 and 3-0 victories over Athersley Rec and Penistone Church, respectively.
The young Reds faced Hemsworth this time last year and narrowly edged a seven-goal thriller, with Jordan Barnett and Sam Fielding amongst the scorers in a 4-3 win.
New recruits Chris Sang and Alex Wollerton have hit the ground running for the U23s since arriving at Oakwell this summer, while Romal Palmer, Elliot Simoes and Tommy Willard have also looked sharp and found the net in Barnsley’s previous outings.
