Continuing current commitments to the community and grassroots football, Barnsley FC are excited to support Barnsley FC Ladies Juniors for another season.
The existing partnership between the Club and Reds in the Community will continue to give young ladies from 9 to 16 years old the opportunity to both enjoy and develop in the game they love.
Barnsley FC Ladies Juniors Chairman, Brett Hawke, is excited by recent developments.
‘The cornerstone of any successful team is youth. We have made great progress within our youth ranks over the last few years and with the help of Barnsley FC and Reds in the Community, we are excited for that development to continue.
‘The association with Barnsley FC is vital and something I know the girls of all age groups take seriously. Not a lot of girls get opportunities and experiences like this and it’s something we are certainly proud to provide.’
Reds in the Community Women and Girls Development Officer, Lynn Goodman, is keen to see faces new and old in the upcoming season.
‘This is not just about ability. We want girls of all ages to enjoy football, whether that is with Barnsley FC Ladies Juniors, or through schemes run with Reds in the Community. We actively encourage girls to join our thriving set-up, make new friends whilst enjoying being active.’
