Fans Urged To Remain In Stands.

14 January 2019

Following the 3-0 victory over Bradford City, the Club needs to issue a reminder to its supporters.

Barnsley Football Club must remind all fans of the Reds, as well as any fans attending in the away end, that it is a criminal offence to enter the playing surface at any time.

Following the third goal during the Yorkshire derby victory over Bradford City, a number of fans entered the pitch. Anybody who breaks the rules in this way, is risking a potential ban from attending both Oakwell and/or any football matches in the United Kingdom with a punishment known as a ‘Football Banning Order’ as well as a fine. Daniel Stendel’s side are currently performing extremely well, we would not want any of our loyal and passionate fanbase to miss out on an exciting end to the current campaign.

The Club fully appreciates the acts were in celebration, but the fact is that it remains an offence and in doing so, could also see the Club punished. The punishment for the Club could come financially, or if continued, a potential points deduction.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.
