The Reds' Head Coach is in contention to win the prestigious award after a terrific December for his side.
Following an impressive final month of 2018 for Barnsley, Daniel Stendel has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award.
The nominees this month are:
Graham Coughlan (Bristol Rovers)
Taking over from a popular predecessor, even as caretaker manager, is not as easy as Coughlan made it look by winning three of his four games in charge. Lifted the pressure which had hampered the Rovers players recently.
David Hopkin (Bradford City)
It is one thing preaching patience and promising that results will turn around, quite another to live up to your word. A spectacular revival brought 10 points from five games, 4-0 wins over Walsall and Rochdale and hope in abundance.
Nathan Jones (Luton Town)
A third successive nomination for Jones whose team continued its charge towards the League One summit with another near perfect month in which they garnered 13 points from five unbeaten matches, scored 10 goals and kept three clean sheets.
Daniel Stendel (Barnsley)
Plotted Barnsley’s path through a difficult December fixture list, which included matches against fellow members of the top six, Portsmouth, Charlton and Peterborough. Five games yielded 10 points and just three goals conceded.
