SAFETY NOTICE | Reds vs Bantams

Sniffer dogs to be at Oakwell.

Specially trained ‘sniffer dogs’ will be used at Oakwell on Saturday ahead of the Yorkshire derby with Bradford City.

Previously this season, the dogs were used extremely successfully in the South Yorkshire derby against Doncaster Rovers at Oakwell.

The dogs will be searching for all pyrotechnics that anyone may attempt to bring into the ground. The EFL is re-launching its commitment to tackle the use of pyrotechnics, which includes smoke bombs, flares and fireworks within EFL football grounds.  This was initially launched in November 2017 that saw all 72 Clubs sign up to a new Club Charter on Pyrotechnics.

Since the Charter was signed EFL Clubs have been taking strong and decisive action against any fans found attempting to bring a banned item into a ground, or those who discharge pyrotechnics.

Fans are further reminded about persistent standing within the ground. Standing at football matches is against ground regulations and also has a negative impact on your fellow supporters, stopping them from seeing the game. We would like to ask for your continued cooperation on this matter.
