Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Will Smith has extended his loan with Darlington until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old centre back has featured six times for Tommy Wright’s side so far since initially joining on a 28-day youth loan on 21 December.
This new deal will now see Smith stay at Blackwell Meadows until 4 May as he continues to gain invaluable first team experience in the Vanarama National League North.
The youngster also found the net as Darlington beat Kidderminster Harriers 3-0 last Saturday. Darlo are currently 13th in the table, eight points outside the play-off places with 16 games remaining.
