It's a frustrating night for Barnsley, just a point gained against a stubborn Burton Albion outfit.
Reds Head Coach, Daniel Stendel had made just the one change to his starting XI for this match - Ryan Hedges was rewarded for a decent cameo appearance last time out by taking over on the left flank and Mamadou Thiam dropping to the bench.
It wasn't the most entertaining of first halves but Jamie Allen - who scored a screamer the last time he visited - flashed a shot just wide on four minutes as the Brewers began the game stronger.
The Reds responded well and were in the ascendancy for the rest of the first period and after Hedges had done his man out wide, his cross was slammed towards goal by Mike Bähre but a defender threw himself in the way to block.
Brewers' 'keeper Brad Collins then did brilliantly to palm away a superb Cauley Woodrow volley.
Jacob Brown was lively for the Reds and he was halted illegally by Colin Daniel who entered the referee's notebook.
Just before the break, Brown rose highest to meet a Pinillos cross but his header fell a yard wide of the goal.
HALF TIME: Barnsley 0-0 Burton
On 51 minutes, Alex Mowatt was cautioned after clattering Brewers' forward Marcus Harness.
Just 10 minutes later and Adam Davies had to be down quickly to his right to tip away a dangerous low ball across the six yard box.
It was beginning to look like a frustrating night for Daniel Stendel's men as he watched on when Woodrow fired over from inside the box.
There were sub appearances for Thiam, Victor Adeboyejo and Kenny Dougall as the Reds looked to find a way through a stubborn Burton rearguard.
Brown saw a header from a Pinillos cross cleared off the line with 10 to play, but the game was scrappy and stop-start as the game petered out to a draw.
