Jacob Brown nominated for Sky Bet Player of the Month!

Youngster's superb form earns recognition

6 February 2019

Reds youngster Jacob Brown had a stellar January and now he's been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award!

THE NOMINEES

Jacob Brown (Barnsley)
Whenever Barnsley scored in January, chances were Brown was involved. As well as netting against Bradford City, he also contributed five assists with his movement and awareness of others, and played a key part in two team goals.

James Collins (Luton Town)
Unlucky not to have been nominated previously this season, the frontman left nothing to chance last month, leading the line superbly in Danny Hylton’s absence and scoring six goals in five games as his side assumed leadership of the division.

Andy Cook (Walsall)
Refused to succumb to the goal-shy malaise afflicting Walsall’s other forwards by scoring five of his side’s six goals in four games. Converted two headers in his hat-trick at Gillingham, but foraged for himself at Charlton and Plymouth.

Ruben Lameiras (Plymouth Argyle)
Yes, him again. The Portugal forward’s consistency in a spluttering side has been astonishing. His five goals in as many games, which helped lift Argyle out of the bottom four, included two opportunistic strikes against Coventry.

ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY 8 FEBRUARY 2019

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Ivor Davies.
