BE RED Vs Burton Albion

19 February 2019

We have a special edition of BE RED for the Burton Albion fixture!

As we all know, this is a rearranged game after the shocking events on the original date that saw long-serving Barnsley FC volunteeer Stephen Croft airlifted to hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest prior to kick-off.

Stephen is our guest of honour for the game on Tuesday night and our official match programme is dedicated to him and all profits from sales on the night will be given to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service.

Inside this special edition we have a huge interview with the man himself as he prepares to return to Oakwell. Stephen goes through everything that has happened in a life-changing five months.

We get the stories from those involved that afternoon, those who rushed to Mr Croft's aid and ultimately helped to save his life.

There are interviews with Craig Sedgwick, our Head Physiotherapist, and his counterpart at Burton Albion, Nick Fenton.

We catch up with the paramedics who were vital when Stephen fell and worked under pressure to look after a man they work alongside on a regular basis at Oakwell.

We have our usual contributors and content, but this special edition of BE RED pays tribute to an afternoon where all of us came together to put football and its associated rivalry to one side.

Priced at £3 and with all profits going to charity, please pick up your copy from in and around Oakwell on Tuesday evening!
