Date confirmed for Emirates FA Cup third round tie.
Barnsley will travel to Gresty Road to face Crewe Alexandra on Sunday 5 January 2020, kick-off at 2:01pm.
It is only the third time these two sides have met in this competition, with the last game taking place at this stage in 1927 – which the Reds went onto win 6-1 at Oakwell.
Prior to that, Barnsley triumphed in the only other previous encounter after a replay in 1906.
Earlier this season, our U18s secured a 2-1 victory over Alex in the FA Youth Cup third round courtesy of two second half goals from Aiden Marsh.
