Loan Round-Up

8 April 2019

A look at how our players out on loan are progressing at their respective temporary homes…

Jasper Moon made his professional debut as York City beat Southport 1-0 at Bootham Crescent. The young defender, who joined on a work experience loan at the end of March, played the full 90 minutes as Macaulay Langstaff’s goal just after the half hour mark secured all three points for the midtable Minstermen.

Staying in the Vanarama National League North and Romal Palmer also completed a full complement as Darlington claimed a 2-0 victory against relegation-threatened FC United of Manchester. That result sees the Exiles 18th in the table with four games remaining.

Elsewhere in the sixth tier, Louis Wardle was introduced at the hour mark in Curzon Ashton’s 1-1 draw at home to Leamington Spa. The versatile youngster replaced Reece Deakin to make his third appearance and end a run of three straight defeats.

In the Northern Premier League Division One East, Elvis Otim was an unused substitute as Sheffield FC strolled to a 3-0 win away at bottom of the table Gresley FC.

Lloyd Isgrove, Dylan Mottley-Henry, Will Smith and Danny Greenfield were not involved for Portsmouth, Harrogate Town, Darlington and Chorley, respectively.
