Adam Davies is your Player of the Month for March!

Second monthly gong for the Reds number one

9 April 2019

It's successive triumphs for the skipper as he's voted top performer in March, by you, the fans.

Palmer

In association with Club Sponsor, Palmer Construction, we give Reds fans the opportunity to pick their favourite player each month.

With 47% of the fans' votes, Adam Davies picks up the coveted monthly prize for the second time this season, making it back-to-back awards for the captain.

'Davo' kept four clean sheets in five appearances last month and pulled off a vital couple of saves in the closing minutes of a 2-2 draw against Coventry City at Oakwell.

The Welsh international now has 20 clean sheets for the season as he aims to lead his Reds side back to the Championship at the first time of asking, and thus earn a second promotion in his five years at Oakwell.

He was absolutely delighted to receive another monthly award, but was understandably still reeling from the weekend's defeat at Burton.

He told us: "I'm still gutted about the Burton defeat, so whilst this is another nice award to get, and I thank those who voted for me, I'm not as happy as I'd liked to be.

"But last month was a good one for me on a personal basis, with my Wales cap and helping the lads to another unbeaten month.

"I'm just focusing on Saturday now, and us getting back to our best and picking up three points."

The captain will receive his award at Oakwell on Saturday when the Reds entertain Fleetwood Town in Sky Bet League One.

Well done again, Davo.
