The Reds defender is nominated once again for the monthly award.
Here are the nominees for March:
Lucas Akins (Burton Albion)
Five goals and two assists in five games for a player who has reverted to his natural position after filling in at right-back. Now Burton’s all-time leading EFL goalscorer, his natural football intelligence brings others into play.
Dimitri Cavaré (Barnsley)
A key member of a back four which kept five successive clean sheets, the 24-year-old loves to rampage forward and support the attack. His energy was deployed to great effect against Accrington to score the vital opening goal.
Jonson Clarke-Harris (Bristol Rovers)
Eight goals and an assist – and what goals. Long-range screamers against Gillingham and Plymouth, a breathtaking solo effort against Luton and a hat-trick against Blackpool. Pace, power and hold-up play. It all adds up to a stellar month.
Marcus Maddison (Peterborough United)
Appears to have benefitted most from Darren Ferguson’s return. Revitalised, he did it all in March, scoring four goals, two of them spectacular free-kicks. Add in three delightful assists, either slipped through the middle or whipped in from the wing.
The winner will be announced on Friday 12th April.
