Saturday’s fixture is set to be a special one, as we celebrate legends of the past through Retro Day!
The Reds welcome Burton Albion to South Yorkshire on 22nd September in what promises to be an exciting Sky Bet League One encounter, kicking off at 3pm.
In the build-up to the much anticipated, inaugural Oakwell Hall Of Fame event, Barnsley FC are delighted to announce that Saturday’s game will be Retro Day, celebrating the best individuals, moments and kits of our 131 year history.
Fans may notice that digital channels will take a ‘retro theme’ in the build-up to Saturday’s kick-off, as the knowledge of our supporters will be tested with quizzes; shirts will be rated and the ultimate ‘Barnsley FC’ team will be created.
On matchday, supporters young and old are encouraged to dig out their 'Retro' shirts and wear them to Oakwell.
BE RED, the official matchday programme will also have a retro feel!
So, share your favourite Barnsley FC memories, talk about your most memorable games but most importantly, back Daniel Stendel’s side on Retro Day to what will hopefully be an important three points.
