Open from 1.30pm and based in the Investment Room East Stand Upper, the newly refurbished Family Zone is the best place for young children to sit and experience the match.
The Family Zone will be a regular host to a number of exclusive and child friendly activities for the entire family to get involved with throughout the season. There is also a unique catering menu, featuring special options created specifically for children. All activities will be run pre-match, and once the action is underway, they will be carefully stored until the next home fixture.
Take a look at what we've got in store for you this weekend:
1. Football Freestyler
Renowned football freestyler, Ash Randell will be on hand to host a workshop, teaching children the best skills and tricks in the game. Ash will also be on the pitch just before kick-off to spur up the crowd with one of his extraordinary displays. Be sure to catch him and get involved.
2. Meet Toby Tyke
No visit to Oakwell would be complete without meeting our mischievous mascot, Toby Tyke. Toby will be prowling around the Family Zone prior to kick-off, so be sure to grab him for a selfie and hi-five.
3. Giveaways
Across the course of the 2018/19 season, a number of items will be given away in the Family Zone. This week Reds midfielder, George Moncur, has signed a number of pictures for supporters to pick up in the Family Zone - FOR FREE!
4. Experience Upgrade
Every week, one lucky fan who has a ticket for the Family Zone will be randomly selected to receive an ‘experience upgrade’. This week, we have two opportunities for fans to get closer to Barnsley FC than ever before.
- One lucky fan will be given the opportunity to accompany a player on to the pitch as an official mascot!
- Another fan will head down from the Family Zone and with the assistance of our PA Announcer, read the teams out to both Home and away fans.
5. Fun & Games
Love playing pool? Reckon you can beat your family at Connect 4? The Family Zone will have a number of other activities for children to engage with. This will range from a colouring station, through to table football and Connect 4.
