STENDEL’S BARNSLEY INFLICTED A HEAVY DEFEAT ON THE POSH.
The League Managers Association’s five-man panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to Barnsley for their 4-0 victory against Peteborough United on Saturday 6th October 2018.
The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.
Barnsley Head Coach, Daniel Stendel received a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and an LG Performance of the Week trophy in a presentation to commemorate the result.
Upon receiving the award, the Reds gaffer told us: "Thank you to LG and the LMA for this award. It's for the team, and it was a great performance.
"We worked really hard to win at Peterborough and then backed that up with a good win against Luton.
"We want to keep this run going."
