International Duty | Adam Davies

4 October 2018

Adam Davies has been named in the Wales squad to face Spain and the Republic of Ireland.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper has been in fine form for Barnsley this season, keeping four clean sheets to help the Reds to sixth in Sky Bet League One after ten games.

Davies will be hoping to earn his first cap for Ryan Giggs’ side when they face Luis Enrique’s Spain in a friendly at the Principality Stadium on Thursday 11 October.

The Dragons meet Ireland in Dublin five days later as they look to pick up their second UEFA Nations League victory over the Green Army, having inflicted a 4-1 thumping over Martin O’Neill’s men last month.

Another positive for Wales is the inclusion of Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, who missed the Galácticos trip to Russia in midweek as they lost 1-0 to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
