Injury Update | Jack Walton

16 November 2018

‘Keeper to be out until 2019 following injury.

Jack Walton will be out of action until 2019 after damaging his posterior cruciate ligament during the 2-1 Checkatrade Trophy victory over Bradford City.

The ‘keeper was in fine form during the match and pulled off a string of saves to help Daniel Stendel’s side progress to the next round, where they will face Manchester City U21s.

After sustaining the injury, Walton told barnsleyfc.co.uk: “It’s really disappointing to get the injury, especially so late in the match. I’ll work hard with the medical team at the club to get back to fitness and playing again as soon as I am ready to do so.

“We’ve got a really important run of matches coming up and I wish the lads nothing but the best with them and of course to Jordan [Smith] this weekend against Accrington!”

All the best with your recovery, Jack!
