The Senegalese forward’s vicious strike against Luton Town last month in a 3-2 victory was voted Goal of the Month for October by supporters.
Getting 57% of the public vote, Thiam’s goal beat off wonder strikes from Alex Mowatt and Brad Potts.
Picking up on a loose ball on the left corner of the penalty area, Mama rifled home a shot that flew right into the top corner giving Hatters ‘keeper James Shea no chance of stopping it.
Thiam will be presented with his award at Oakwell on Saturday afternoon!
