BE RED Vs Notts County

9 November 2018

As it's our dedicated Remembrance matchday, BE RED's focus on Saturday is rightly on the armed forces and stories associated with Barnsley FC.

As always, we kick off with DANIEL STENDEL'S notes where he this week discusses the unbeaten home record, the magic of the FA Cup and his favourite cup final!

ADAM DAVIES is the focus of our main interview from a playing perspective. The Reds' skipper talks about surprising a supporter recently who sells poppies for the Royal British Legion, and explains what it was like growing up with a father who was on duty in the forces.

We have an EXCLUSIVE interview with a relative of the late, great WILFRED BARTROP. An FA Cup winner with the Reds in 1912, Bartrop was later killed in action in the Great War and we spoke to Peter Holland about his beloved family member.

MP for Barnsley Central, DAN JARVIS, a former military man himself explains just what it means to pay tribute to the fallen in another EXCLUSIVE interview.

There's the usual 10 pages of content focussing on our opposition, giving you the lowdown on Notts County, with the help of football historians LEIGH EDWARDS and DAVE COPPING.

Official Club Artist, BEN MOSLEY runs Reds supporters through the latest stage of his 'Ponty End Mural' and NEIL RICHARDSON is back with another addition to his Gallery of Legends.

All this and much more in your Remembrance Weekend edition of BE RED.

Available in the Reds Superstore and from in and around Oakwell, priced at £3!
