International Duty for Bradshaw and Hedges!

15 March 2018

Barnsley duo Tom Bradshaw and Ryan Hedges have been called up to the Wales squad.

Ryan Giggs’ side will fly out to China to compete in the 2018 China Cup along with Czech Republic and Uruguay in the final international break before the end of the campaign.

Bradshaw currently has two caps after making his debut against Ukraine in March 2016, but was unfit for the squad that reached the semi-finals of the European Championships later that year.

Hedges, who has been a regular for Wales at youth level, made his senior debut in November 2017 in a 1-1 draw with Panama, which is his solitary cap so far.

The pair will join up with Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and Everton defender Ashley Williams in Giggs’ 26-man squad. Wales face hosts China on Thursday 22 March, with Czech Republic and Uruguay going head to head in the second semi-final a day later.

Should Wales progress, they will play in the final at Guangxi Sports Center, Nanning, on Monday 26 March.
