Barnsley Football Club can confirm the following dates to unveil both home and away kits for the 2018/19 season.
The Club are pleased to announce that the new 2018/19 bespoke home and away kits, produced by PUMA for the fourth consecutive season, will be released to all fans later this summer and, following last season’s critically acclaimed shirt launch, fans and the local community will again be at the forefront of the 2018/19 launch.
Without revealing additional details, the 2018/19 kits have been created to ensure authentic design through an extensive creative process between Club and kit supplier, PUMA. There are unique features to both strips, which are tailored specifically to Barnsley FC.
This season’s away kit will be given its first airing at our first home pre-season fixture of the summer, against West Bromwich Albion at Oakwell on Tuesday 24 July .
The Reds will take to their final pre-season fixture of 2018 at Oakwell, against Hull City on Saturday 28 July, wearing the new home kit.
It’s also with great delight to announce that a decision has been made to ‘reinstate’ the popular 2017/18 white and green away strip for the upcoming campaign. Daniel Stendel’s side will use this kit as the required third shirt.
Such a decision reinforces the fact that fans remain at the forefront of all decision-making processes, as supporters who purchased the popular shirt will be able to enjoy wearing it for the second season in succession!

He said: “We know kit release is always a highly anticipated time of year for everyone connected to Barnsley Football Club, and we feel these are exciting kits that we’re selling for the 2018/19 season, due to the direct links to the community and history of this great Club. They are completely unique designs that I know will be popular. We will release more details in the coming weeks about the launch campaign!
“It is also important to announce that the third shirt will be the away shirt of last season. We feel that this, as a Club, adds extra value to a product that was really enjoyed from our fan base.”
The news doesn’t stop there! This Saturday, Daniel Stendel is inviting a select number of fans down to Oakwell for the opportunity to watch the first team continue their preparations for the upcoming 2018/19 season. Fans will require a ticket to attend with seating in the stand, adjacent to the AstroTurf pitch within the Academy. Tickets for this event are FREE, and available both online and instore.
Also, the date for the annual Barnsley FC Open Day has been decided! Following the final pre-season friendly against Hull City at Oakwell, ‘Open Day’ will take place the next day! Plans, timings and events will be publicised within the coming weeks, but Sunday 29 July is certainly a day fans can keep in their diaries.
