Barnsley Football Club can confirm the signing of Tai-Reece Chisholm on a one-year deal.
The diminutive midfielder spent the latter end of last season on trial with the Reds and put in a number of impressive performances with the Under 23s.
Chisholm will continue his development this campaign with Martin Devaney’s side and look to build on his eye-catching displays.
The 18-year-old, who began his career with Birmingham City, has a quick turn of pace and an eye for goal, and will be one to watch at academy level this season.
“I am very honoured and proud to be part of the Club,” said Chisholm. “I think I’ve worked very hard to get to this point. Obviously, it was unfortunate that I didn’t get a pro contract at my old club but to bounce back and come here, I think I deserve it.
“I’m very excited, hopefully I can push and get into the first team as quick as possible.”
