Barnsley made it three successive victories in pre-season so far with a well-earned 1-0 win in Salford.
Ryan Hedges' superb bending effort from just inside the box after 28 minutes was all she wrote this afternoon as the Reds beat the Ammies at the Peninsula Stadium.
With Daniel Stendel again naming different sides in either half, the Reds dominated the first half and could probably have been at least a goal up before Hedges did strike.
On 10 minutes Mamadou Thiam flicked a header just a yard wide of goal from Alex Mowatt's excellent in-swinging corner.
Injury knocks saw all of Zeki Fryers, Adam Davies and Liam Lindsay replaced in the first half but Barnsley 'Hedged' ahead in the 28th minute.
Some neat footwork, with Hedges turning onto his weaker right foot and from just inside the box he bent home the ball expertly beyond the 'keeper.
The Welsh winger nearly made it two before half-time when his vicious volley nearly broke the crossbar in half from 20 yards out.

With a raft of changes at the break, Salford began to control the game and after Ethan Pinnock's header flew just over the bar, the hosts came close on a handful of occasions.
A Hogan header rattled Jack Walton's crossbar before Pinnock's timely slide-challenge prevented a certain goal for the Salford striker.
The match petered out a little in terms of entertainment towards the final 20, but Barnsley ought to have taken a 2-0 lead when George Moncur rattled the inside of the post following good work out wide by Victor Adeboyejo.
It's three wins from three in pre-season and Stendel's men now head off to Hungary for a week-long training camp.
