Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Louis Walsh has signed for the Club following a successful trial last season.
The young winger was a regular for the under 23s in the Professional Development League, providing his teammates with a number of assists over the course of the campaign.
Walsh will continue his development with Martin Devaney’s side this season, joining new arrivals Jordan Barnett, Tai-Reece Chisholm and Elvis Otim in signing for the Reds.
“I’m pleased to finally get it all done,” said the 17-year-old. “Coming up from down south has been tough, having to get used to the area and culture – it’s a lot different to where I’m from and what I’m used to.
“I’m all settled now and I can’t wait to start playing again with a manager I believe in and who believes in me. I’m still 17, but I truly believe in my ability and journey.”
