The Reds round off pre-season as we welcome Hull City to Oakwell in our final friendly fixture of the summer.
Following Tuesday night's 3-2 defeat against West Bromwich Albion, Daniel Stendel and his Reds squad will be back in front of home support again on Saturday as Nigel Adkins' Tigers provide the opposition in our final pre-season friendly.
With Hull City putting some terrific performances together at the back end of last season which helped them to maintain their Sky Bet Championship status, Tigers supporters will be hoping their side are challenging at the other end of the table this time around.
Former Scunthorpe United and Reading boss Adkins has been in charge at the KCOM Stadium since December of 2017 and after steadying the ship last term he too will be looking to affect the division's upper reaches on this occasion, having previously guided Southampton to Premier League promotion.
A goalkeeper in his playing days, Nigel made 336 appearances in goal for Tranmere Rovers, Wigan Athletic and Bangor City.
He has been very active in the transfer market this summer with six acquisitions, including young defender Reece Burke who joined from West Ham Utd and exciting Serbian winger David Milinkovic who left Genoa for Humberside.
Already amongst the Hull City ranks is former Barnsley captain, Angus MacDonald who is recovering from injury but expected to be involved at Oakwell, his first return since leaving in January this year.
Results so far in pre-season for the Tigers have been mixed. A 1-0 defeat at Rochdale last weekend was followed by a 2-2 draw at home in midweek against Premier League outfit Newcastle United.
