Barnsley Football Club can confirm the signing of Elvis Otim on a one-year deal.
The composed midfielder will feature for Martin Devaney’s under 23 side this campaign after joining the Reds from Nottingham Forest.
Otim was on trial at Oakwell at the back end last season and was influential as Barnsley claimed a 5-1 victory over Coventry City in the Professional Development League.
The youngster has creative flair, the ability to read the game and, at 19-years-old, has a bright future ahead of him at the Club.
“I’m really happy about the opportunity I have here at Barnsley, the faith they’ve shown in me, and I am ready to show the faith back,” said Otim.
“I am a central midfielder, but if I needed to fill in at: right back, right wing, left wing, behind the striker I can do that. I want to show what I’m made of and push on.”
