Martin Devaney to take U23s side in Premier League Cup.
The Reds are back in Premier League Cup action this week as they travel to Merseyside, taking on Premier League Everton.
The match will be played at Southport’s Merseyrail Community Stadium on Friday 9th February, with a 7pm kick-off.
The Reds suffered late heartbreak in their last Premier League Cup fixture which was against Portsmouth at Oakwell. Having gone down to 10 men early in the first half through the dismissal of Matty Pearson, the young Reds did in fact take the lead through a Romal Palmer free-kick. However, two late goals in stoppage time from the south-coast visitors saw them leave with the points.
