Barnsley Football Club to support MIND charity this weekend.
Bucket collections will take place at Oakwell this weekend for the match against AFC Wimbledon.
Barnsley Football Club are pleased to make fans aware of a partnership with the mental health charity MIND at Oakwell on Saturday. Staff and volunteers from Rotherham and Barnsley MIND will be giving up their time in search of donations via bucket collections, from 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
Mental Health Support Worker and MIND advocate Claire Whittall, will be one of the volunteers tomorrow.
She said: "We're really pleased to have teamed up with Barnsley FC and are excited to meet the supporters tomorrow afternoon. With the help of our local community, we want to make sure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone."
Supporters of the Reds will know that the football club are keen to raise awareness of the charity, who are an official EFL partner this season and are recognised on the player lettering on the back of every EFL club’s shirt.
