It’s a new season and a new start for the Oakwell Family Zone, which has been revamped by Toby Tyke ahead of the 2018-19 season.
With 1,081 seats to choose from in the Family Zone, it's new, tasteful décor depicts Club mascot, Toby Tyke, causing all sorts of chaos with his family.
The area has space to host a range of activities on a match-day and new for 2018/19, it includes a ‘mini-superstore’ (open as of 19th August), full of pocket money items.
Toby’s Family Zone will be open for every home league match an hour and a half before kick-off, up until the final whistle.
With seats allowing everyone a great view of the action in the Investment Room East Stand, an exclusive children friendly menu and fun activities every game, our new and improved family zone provides Junior Tykes with a fantastic area to enjoy the game.
Reds Finance Director, Rob Zuk, is delighted with the outcome.
"We’re delighted with the new additions and activities. As a Club, we understand how the next generation of fans are important and the new family zone is the perfect place for young fans to get close to Barnsley FC on a regular basis. I have fond memories of visiting the family zone with my Dad. Hopefully the next generation of Reds fans will enjoy the improvements we have made."
Every week, one lucky family from the Family Zone will be given the opportunity to have a unique experience in the lead up to kick-off.
For our opening league game of the 2018/19 season, one family sat in the Family Zone will be given the opportunity to watch the sides warm up from the dug-out!
Here is an example of what your afternoon could entail when we take on Oxford United…
- Arrive at Oakwell for 1.30pm and enter in to the Family Zone
- Engage with the number of activities available
- Watch both sides warm-up from the first team dugout
- Head back up to the Family Zone before kick off
