Barnsley FC are delighted to introduce a new and engaging App, which is free and now available to download on Apple and Android devices.
Sponsored by new social media partner, The Energy Check, the App will allow all supporters to access immersive and interactive content at the simple click of a button.
‘The Reds Fan App’ has been designed to help enhance the general matchday experience at Oakwell. Fans will be invited to vote for their Man of the Match, whilst having live, in-game stats at their fingertips.

Available for all tablet and smartphone devices, fans can engross themselves in all things Barnsley FC. As well as exclusive and unseen content, the Reds Fan App also incorporates branded selfie filters, unique opportunities to enter competitions and augmented reality (AR). Supporters will begin to notice AR logos appearing on significant areas around Oakwell, as well as within the official matchday programme. Wherever the logo appears, fans can hover their device and view extra content.
‘Appy Hour’ is another prominent feature, which gives all who activate, discounts in the Reds Superstore and other outlets across the Club at particular times. Once claimed, fans have one hour to use it before it expires. Be sure to download to keep up to date with our special deals.

Chief Executive, Gauthier Ganaye, said: “After the improvements of our content across all digital platforms, the next logical step was to create an App to allow the fans to see and experience more of the club in a digital capacity. After the huge success of the Toby Tyke game that was launched alongside the season ticket campaign, I'm sure it will be well received.
“The fan App will allow allows push notifications on a regular basis, as well as improving the matchday experience. It can be used throughout the week, but the most exciting features will be on a matchday, allowing further interaction and special offers. It will also be an excellent tool for fans who can only follow Barnsley Football Club digitally, as they may be abroad or live far away, so we always aim to bring you as close to Oakwell as possible whether that’s in person or not. There are plenty of features on the App that are hidden, so I can’t explain them all here but it’s for fans to download and explore!”
