Reds Feature In Times Square!

23 April 2018

A good luck message has been delivered from New York, to Barnsley Football Club.

With three games left of the Sky Bet Championship season, the Reds were sent a good luck message from Times Square in New York, showing the international awareness of the Club.

The final matches of the season will be played out over the next week-and-a-half, with José Morais’ side looking to retain their status within the division. Nottingham Forest are first up on Tuesday evening, before returning to home turf against Brentford on Saturday. The final day will see the Reds travel to play-off hopefuls Derby County.

The advert clearly features co-owner Grace Hung, alongside popular mascot Toby Tyke! Currently in China, it is the ‘Year of the Dog’ which is prominently featured in the advert.

After seeing some more brand exposure for the Club and international recognition, Chief Executive Gauthier Ganaye said: “Thanks to our new international ownership, it has opened avenues across the world and we are really pleased to be featured in one of the most famous places on the globe, New York! We aim to continue to expand our brand internationally and within the UK, this is just the beginning of a long project for us all.

“We have a large community of fans both in the UK and abroad, especially in New York where we have our own designated supporters group who we are very proud to support, so keep flying the red flag you New York Tykes!”
