FREE coach travel to Nottingham Forest!

6 April 2018

Barnsley Football Club are delighted to announce that we can offer free coach travel to Nottingham Forest.

Following the postponement of the recent Sky Bet Championship clash with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground just hours before kick-off, the Club were disappointed to see how many fans had travelled to Nottingham already, only for the game to be called off.

The Board of Directors have decided to pay the cost of coach travel for our supporters wishing to attend the re-arranged fixture on Tuesday 24th April, 7:45pm kick-off as a thank you for the constant backing we receive both home and away.

Supporters who had already purchased official club coach travel will be entitled to a full refund on their purchase and a complimentary official club coach travel ticket as a replacement, thus allowing a free journey.

Supporters who had originally booked on the official club coach travel will receive full priority, with all fans now wishing to take up the option of free official club coach travel, doing so on a first come first serve basis*.

Please be aware that refunds WILL NOT be done automatically. Fans must contact the Club for a refund in order to re-arrange their travel. Refunds must be requested in advance of the departure of the coach.

Supporters who had a match ticket only and cannot now make the match, will be entitled to a full refund at the Barnsley Football Club Box Office.

Tickets for the FREE official club coach travel can only be obtained over the phone, or at the BFC Box Office.

The departure time for the official club coaches is 5pm.

Nottingham Forest vs Barnsley

Tuesday 24th April

7:45pm kick-off

Chief Executive Gauthier Ganaye wanted to thank our supporters for their backing both at Oakwell and away from home, as we look to all fight together in the attempt to retain our Sky Bet Championship status.

He said: “The team, the staff and the fans of Barnsley Football Club were all in Nottingham when the game was postponed, we all shared that disappointment together. Straight away we wanted to look into possibilities of giving something back to our loyal fans who had planned on being there to support us, so we’re delighted to be able to offer fans free travel to ensure as many Reds supporters as possible can back us for the rearranged fixture.

“We’re entering a really vital and pivotal part of the season with some big games so this will help to keep us all together as we travel across the country or play at home. I want everyone to remember that it isn’t just the team travelling to away matches, it is whole town of Barnsley going together and making ourselves heard both on the pitch and in the stands.”

*The Club has made provisions for a large amount of fans to travel, but free official club coach tickets are capped at a maximum number.
