After opening his Reds account with the equaliser at Deepdale yesterday, Brad Potts gave us his reaction.
The 23-year-old midfielder arrived at Oakwell this summer, signing a three-year deal in a move from Blackpool.
Known throughout his time at Bloomfield Road for his goal-scoring prowess, Potts was obviously delighted to get off the mark for the Reds.
"I'm over the moon," he said. "To open my account for Barnsley, but also to get something from a tough game. It could go a long way at the end of the season. If we can keep picking up points on the road, that's only going to help us get where we want to be this year."
The former Carlisle man was a little over the top however when describing his goal to us...
"I'm delighted that it was such a 'worldie' finish!" he joked. "But no, the Gaffer's always telling us to make it into the box when Ads (Adam Hammill) is out wide crossing it, so I've just seen a gap and to be honest it was a great ball from Ads and yeah it's just hit us and gone in, but it doesn't matter how."
Brad feels it's a decent point for Paul Heckingbottom's side, away from home against a side in good form who have been strong defensively so far this season.
He said: "We had chances I think to get more, we opened them up once or twice, but any point in this division away from home is a good point. The more that we lads are gelling and training together, playing with each other, it can only help us get better as we go along.
"I'm really enjoying it all. There's a noticeable step up in quality, there's quicker, stronger, faster, basically just better footballers up here. But I think I have the attributes to handle it all, and the more games we play the more it'll help us."
