The renowned artist and Reds supporter worked at Oakwell over the summer on the 'Our Club, Our Ground, Our Past, Our Future' heritage project with Reds In The Community.
Upon completing his work, we caught up with Ben to get his thoughts on his time back in Barnsley working for the Club he has supported all of his life.
"It's been a real honour and privilege," he told barnsleyfc.co.uk. "As a huge Barnsley fan, it was a real proud summer for me, where I made Oakwell my home and set out to do the Club justice with my paintings.
"In terms of the process of the paintings, I was commissioned by Reds In The Community to create seven paintings for the heritage project 'Our Club, Our Ground, Our Past, Our Future.' The paintings are now with Craig Oldham who is photographing them, so they can be blown up on a large scale to be included in Craig's final design for the concourse in the East Stand.
"I'm hoping that the originals will then be given to the Club to be displayed in the stadium wherever the Club sees fit. I'm also hoping we can get permission to do prints of them to be sold in the shop, but we will see.
"I can't thank the people at Oakwell enough for their support this summer. Everyone at Reds In The Community have made it an easy time for me and I also want to thank the lads in the Media Department too who have followed my progress throughout.
"It's been a bit of a dream really, not a job. I just hope I've created something that others will find inspiring for years to come, and I hope to keep working with the Club on other projects in the future."
