Fans are invited to choose the player they think deserves the monthly award!
In association with Palmer Construction, a Barnsley based company who provide leading specialist civil engineering and construction services to the utilities and infrastructure sectors throughout the UK, the Player of the Month award is back for the 2017/18 campaign.
We’re asking you, the fans, to pick which player you think deserves the monthly accolade!
Up for the award this month, are the following players:
Ryan Hedges - A superb month in front of goal and down the wings has seen the tricky winger begin the season in the form of his life. An opening day goal away at Bristol City brought some slight positive news to a disappointing afternoon, before the winger really came to life. A last minute winner against Morecambe in the Carabao Cup was followed up with another stunner against Nottingham Forest at Oakwell to secure a vital three points.
Tom Bradshaw - The striker hit four goals in August and is leading the charts for the Club. The Reds needed someone to step up and put the ball in the back of the net, and Bradshaw did just that. His movement and hold up play has caused defenders problems, bringing his teammates into play when needed as well. A great month for the Welsh international.
Adam Jackson - A huge month and opening to the 2017/18 has seen Jackson cement a well deserved place at the heart of Paul Heckingbottom’s defence. The towering central defender has won just about every header and tackle, playing a pivotal role in vital home wins over Nottingham Forest and Sunderland at Oakwell.
Adam Hammill - Tricks, crosses, assists and entertaining sums up Adam Hammill’s career but especially his August! The winger has torn defences apart throughout the month and put crosses into the box for his attack minded partners to score from. The winger has been a consistent performer and made sure the Reds are always dangerous on the attack.
Adam Davies - Nothing surprises fans with performances from their number one anymore! It’s fair to say he’s put a claim in for man of the match in every game throughout August, with some truly world class moments to deny opposition strikers. His quick distribution and leadership at the back has been key as well as Paul Heckingbottom’s new side look to settle.
