Bradshaw on Millwall Brace

2 October 2017

The Reds' top scorer spoke following his brace and a Reds 3-1 victory in the capital.

Two more goals this season took Welsh international Tom Bradshaw to seven for the season and the former Walsall striker was naturally enthused after a superb result at The Den.

"I'm over the moon obviously," he said, smiling. "To get seven already at this stage of the season is pleasing for any striker, but massively for us as a team, we needed that win, we wanted that win. If anything, just to show to our fans that we are good enough and on our day we're clinical and we can reward those who came down to support us."

Playing the lone striker role is a thankless task at times, no matter who you play for and Tom admits as much but congratulated his teammates for making life a lot easier at Millwall.

"It's a difficult job, and I'm sure Ike (Ugbo) and Mama (Thiam) will vouch for that as well, but it's a team this and a job we need to do for that, for the team and like the Gaffer says, when you do a job like that you ending working so hard that sometimes you get the reward and so to score two goals is pleasing and everything a striker wants I suppose."

To have registered seven goals already, it's exciting to see how many Bradshaw can rack up this season.

He himself believes he can notch a lot more..

"I back myself always. There's pressure on me to score, especially being the lone striker, but I've always scored goals. I've always got confidence in my ability to put them away, I did it in League One repeatedly, and I believe I can do it in the Championship as well. I'm hopefully proving that to a few doubters, but it's about self-belief and I'll always back myself to deliver."
