The on-loan midfielder's terrific strike away at Burton Albion on Halloween voted the best October strike in the Championship.
Joe Williams has been voted the winner of Sky Bet's Goal of the Month Award for October in the Sky Bet Championship!
The 20-year-old, on loan from Premier League side Everton for this 2017/18 season, opened his Reds account away at the Pirelli Stadium against Burton Albion, as he controlled the ball in outstanding fashion from all of 35-yards from goal before thundering home a sweet, left-footed volley that flew into the top corner to help the Reds to a 4-2 victory.
Joe's goal was nominated by a judging panel comprising of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; Sky Bet Sponsorship Executive Michael Holinski and EFL Senior Media Manager Rob Meaden.
Williams' goal saw off the two other nominated strikes of Sheffield United's Paul Coutts and Bolton Wanderers forward Sammy Ameobi by a huge margin.
The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on skysports.com.
