Reds staff prepare for Barnsley 10k charity run!

6 November 2017

Barnsley Football Club Chaplain, Peter Amos and members of the Barnsley FC staff will be running the Barnsley 10K at the end of November!

Reds staff including Former players Martin Devaney and Bobby Hassell from across the Club are coming together to run the race, raising money for two worthwhile causes.

The organisations that will profit from the work of Peter and his team are Barnsley Hospice and Barnsley Hospital.

The hospice will benefit from much needed funds in order to be able to keep changing the lives of people in Barnsley, while the hospital will benefit from money raised to support a refurbishment project for a bereavement counselling room.

Members of the Club staff running the race are Martin Devaney, Tom Harban, Bobby Hassell, Vicki Stevens, Craig Sedgewick, Nathan Winder, Jack Riley, Alex Bailey, Joe Kennedy, Craig Housely, Dave Anderson, Rob Zuk, Dawn Ranshaw and Sally Hegarty.

From Reds in the Community, Peter will be joined by Hannah Phillips, Lynn Goodman, Mark Crossfield and Gareth Cooke.

Former Reds skipper Marc Roberts and former striker Sam Winnall have already donated to show their support for the team as they embark on their challenge.

To donate to their cause and to support the great work that our team are doing, head to https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/peter-amos1 and please give generously.
